“A beautifully expressive Chardonnay from the Mâconnais, the Clos de l'Eglise Mâcon-Charnay offers up ripe orchard fruits—apple, pear, and white peach—mixed in with delicate floral & honeysuckle characters. On the palate, it is vibrant and well-balanced, with a crisp minerality that adds precision to its round, medium-bodied texture. A great example of Mâconnais terroir, perfect for pairing with seafood, roast chicken, or creamy cheeses.” - Wine Direct Tasting Team
Clos de l’Église is an elegant, unoaked Chardonnay from the village of Mâcon-Charnay in Southern Burgundy. The walled vineyard, located near the historic Roman church Sainte Madeleine, benefits from a prime south-east facing slope. Fruit sourced from 30 - 50 year old vines from a single once walled vineyard.
