Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin is a modern style of Australian Gin from the Yarra Valley. Made using whole oranges, pepperberry leaf, cinnamon, cardamom and star anise, this is spicy with big citrus notes. Perfect in a gin & tonic, made to your preference, but for something a bit different, try a Red Snapper:
45ml Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin
100ml tomato juice
20ml lemon juice
15ml Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco
Lemon
Celery
Build in a highball over ice. Stir well to combine, and garnish with a celery stick and lemon wedge (with a touch of cracked black pepper if you want to add a little something extra!)
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
