Vincent Dampt's Petit Chablis vineyard extends across a plateau overlooking the town of Fyé, Chablis. It faces west and the average age of the vines is 10 years old. After malolactic fermentation the Petit Chablis is aged on its lees in stainless steel tanks for 6 months to preserve all the freshness of the Chardonnay grape variety.
The vines for this Petit Chablis are located on a more calcareous Portlandian soil, thus giving a fruitier and more supple wine than Domaine Vincent Dampt's Chablis. The 2021 is an excellent drinking wine that is a very good introduction to wines from the estate. Aromas of green apple and pear dominate on the nose with hints of dried herbs and wet stone. On the palate it is dry and crisp with plenty of minerality and citrus. It finishes floral and extremely refreshing.

“From a stony plot in Beines which came through well, and a bit of Fyé . Bottled under screwcap. Just a touch more colour here and perhaps the most fruit on the nose, while retaining the correct steely character. Some light yellow fruit plus salinity and very good length. Tasted June 2022.”
