Nicknamed #86, after the specific number of versions were created before deciding upon this particular hand made recipe produced from crushed almonds and mahlab kernels. The nose is of saturated bitter almonds and a subtle spiced cherry. The flavour builds to mid peaks of bright sweet spice closing off to deep long creamy almond finish.
Suggested cocktails for inclusion are the Fog Cutter, Army Navy, Japanese Cocktail and the Mai Tai.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
It is a great wine to drink. Always great to taste a fabulous chardonnay. Hope you can bring the Domaine Collotte Chardonnay. It will sell like very well in New Zealand. Please advise when it is available.
For this sort of money you could buy a decent NZ chard....but this wine transcends you to a small village to the east of the Rhone on a balmy summers night...once you have been there you will want to go back again and again
