"Upfront and richly expressed, showing dark berry, olive, smoked meat and roasted nut aromas, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate that's supple and flavoursome. Splendidly structured, finishing long and attractively robust. At its best: now to 2030. " - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Domaine de la Baume in the Languedoc-Roussillon region is situated in Servian, between Béziers and the medieval town of Pézenas, at the centre of the world’s largest wine-growing area. In this haven of peace and quiet, one road leads to the magnificent wrought-iron gate adorned with a J and a P, in honour of Jean Prat. Domaine de la Baume is an estate of some 176 hectares, planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and of course, Chardonnay.
The wine looks like one I shall enjoy and boast of once having consumed it.I intend sharing this splendid red with our son over Christmas - happy to furnish you with a tasting review then and , hopefully, purchase a few more bottles.
