95 POINTS: Andrew Caillard MW, Andrea Pritzker MW & Angus Hughson - The Vintage Journal
“Deep crimson. Lifted dark cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, touchstone fruit aromas. Generously concentrated palate with saturated dark berry fruits, dark chocolate, vanilla, hint ginger/apricot flavours, fine loose- knit chocolaty tannins, superb mid-palate viscosity and well integrated acidity. Finishes velvety, minerally and dry. Drink now now-2030” - The Vintage Journal
Deep purple black in colour, aromatically it is classic Moppa. There are engaging notes of dark blue fruits, sweet spice, floral lift, and a hint of toasty oak, all in concert with each other.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
