"Splendidly ripe and enticing, the wine shows cassis, vanillin oak, roasted nut and mixed spice aromas on the nose with a lovely touch of dark cocoa. The palate is opulent and velvety with layers of delectable flavours backed by silky tannins, finishing long and satisfying."

What a showstopper. The supercool squat heritage bottles just add to the pizzaz that this special wine brings to the table and this is generous and opulently framed Californian Cabernet with a softness and roundness on the palate we have seldom seen from this varietal. Flavours of blackberry and dark plum flood the palate while some cedar undertones and tobacco / leather notes add complexity.  It is rich, mouthfilling and pillow soft but comes with enough fresh acidity on the finish to keep the wine alive on the palate. Prepare to be blown away.
