This is the JK.14 version of Aperol. A timeless classic, a great apéritif from Bassano. Orange, gentian root, Roman absinthe, quina and vanilla come together in a liqueur with a subtle fragrance and smooth flavour. Best served cold with soda and lemon zest to make the traditional aperitivo of Bassano, it is also used in the preparation of cocktails and long drinks. Use it to make a Spritz Molto Italiano:
Fill the glass with ice, and add the Rosso, prosecco, and soda water. Garnish with a slice of orange, and a green olive if you want to be a real Venetian!
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
