Reefton Distilling Co. offer a selection of small batch, slow macerated fruit liqueurs that capture all the luscious nostalgia of fresh New Zealand fruit in a single bottle. Made with local spray-free fruit macerated in a neutral spirit. Sweet, but not too sweet, these richly coloured liqueurs overflow with pure fruit flavour and concentrated joy.
Subtle sweetness with a fresh Blueberry taste. The Blueberry flavour combines seamlessly with fresh Westport Bearss lime, and butterscotch notes of local Rata honey. Serve over ice, stand to chill for 10–15 seconds then enjoy. Popular over vanilla ice cream, with tonic, soda water or Champagne, and works well in any creamy dessert e.g. Tiramisu or trifle. Pairs beautifully with sparkling elderflower and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
15ml falernum syrup (a Caribbean style sugar syrup made with lemon and spices), like Monin Falernum
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a short rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a grapefruit slice and a sprig of rosemary.
Scale up the recipe in a large pitcher, add soda water and fresh fruit of your choice for a refreshing sparkling summer serve.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
