From the Northern part of the appellation adjacent to Beaucastel – plateau of red clay, sand and rolled stones ("galets"), made from 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah. Average vine age 40 years with oldest vines over 70 years old. Certified Organic.
"The 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Origines checks in as 50% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, and 20% Syrah that was raised in a mix of new barrels and concrete tank. Its deep purple hue is followed by a gorgeous array of ripe blackberries, peppery herbs, violets, and perfectly integrated spicy oak. While clearly a more modern styled wine, it's flawlessly balanced, medium to full-bodied, has fine tannins, and incredibly well-integrated oak, tannins, and acidity. This estate plays at an incredibly high level, and this brilliant 2021 will be loved by both the modern and traditionalist out there. Bravo."

"This estate, under the leadership of Sebastien Jaume, continues to be one of the reference point producers for relatively modern styled Châteauneuf du Papes. In addition to their top tier efforts, the portfolio is loaded with smoking values at just about every price point."
