“What a beautiful nose of flowers and leaves dripping after a tropical storm. Succulent, but extremely vibrant and refreshing in spite of the creaminess on the mid-palate. Long stony and lemony finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.” - Stuart Pigott, JamesSuckling.com
“The 2021 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Kabinett is deep, pure, intense and flinty on the nose, with weathered and crushed slate aromas. Lush and piquant on the palate this is a mouth-filling, round and a little bit sweet Sonnenuhr Kabinett with a saline and crisp finish. Tasted as a sample in July 2022. 8.5% alcohol.” - Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
