Organic - 100% Zweigelt (a native grape related to Pinot Noir)

"To be released toward the end of December, the 2018 Zweigelt Reserve is from the Hasel just beneath the Dechant and cultivated on deep, brown earth soil. Partly fermented with the stems for three weeks and aged in 300-liter barrels (30% of which were new), the wine opens with a pure, refined and elegant dark-fruit aroma with fleshy and slightly peppery notes. Tight and fresh on the palate, with good concentration, healthy tannic grip, cassis and some refreshing minty notes, this is a firm and straight, fleshy, dry and cleansing Zweigelt with a coolish Kamptal character. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in September 2022."
