“A unique blend of 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca & 30% Tinta Roriz plus a few others!  This is a classic juicy Portuguese red that oozes drinkability.  Full of the flavours of black fruits, it has lovely fresh acid finish that keeps you coming back for more.  Although this wine is all about fruit and drinkability don’t mistake it simply as a fruity quaff.  This is pretty serious stuff from old vineyards in the Douro Valley. The ‘Meio Queijo’ is a joven style seeing no new oak (thank goodness). ‘Meio Queijo’ means ‘half cheese’ which refers to the shape of the vineyard from which the grapes are sourced.”

Churchill Meio Queijo is a juicy red wine produced from indigenous red grapes of the Douro Valley as Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela and Tinto Cão. After the fermentation process at controlled temperatures, the wine stayed 6 months in stainless steel tanks and further 6 months in used's French oak barrels, prior to being stabilized, filtrated and bottled.
