Les Enracines Beaujolais 'Sans Sulfites' 2022
GOLD MEDAL: Decanter Wine Awards
94 POINTS: Wine Direct Tasting Team
Sandy pink granite and pebbles. Hillside with south exposure in the village of Lantignié, Regnié or le Perréon. Selection of old vines averaging at 50 years old. Substainably grown grapes and harvested manually.
Les Enracinés Beaujolais comes from Domaine de la Madone, a top-tier family estate nestled in the granite-rich village of Le Perréon. Though technically just outside the official cru zone, Le Perréon is widely considered on par with the best—and this wine makes a compelling case. Grégory Barbet work some of the steepest slopes in the region, home to old-vine Gamay, many over 50 years old. Les Enracinés captures the intensity, depth, and mineral precision of true Beaujolais terroir—bold, expressive, and every bit as good as the top crus.
