"Distinctive bouquet of chalk and white flowers, citrus and white fleshed orchard fruits, there’s a lees note adding a textural complexity, shape and form with the bouquet. New and different. An appealing wine on the palate with a taut youthful squeeze emphasizing the citrus and mineral then flavours of apple and some floral layers. Fresh, dry, balanced, well made and ready to drink." - Cameron Douglas MS
La Piuma Pecorino is a vibrant white wine from the Abruzzo region of Italy, made from the rare Pecorino grape. It's a deliciously dry wine that showcases sweet notes of apple and pear, touched with jasmine, lemon, and subtle florals. Serve chilled with a seafood feast or roasted chicken.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
