Trimbach Riesling 'Selection de Vielles Vignes' 2018
95 POINTS: Anne Krebiehl MW, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
From 50+ old vines from Ribeauville and Runawhir
Made mainly with grapes grown on the marly-limestone soils of the Hagueneau lieu-dit (of both Bergheim and Ribeauvillé) and other plots in the Muhlforst and Rosacker (of Hunawihr) and the Hoffel (of Bergheim)
"Slight hints of wax, earth and lemon show on the still-shy nose. The palate is equally reticent, tightly coiled but speaking of concentrated citrus freshness that verges into zestiness. The bone-dry nature makes it hard to sense ripe citrus slumbering at the core but the fruit will reveal itself with bottle age. Concentration, purity and power promise a future firework, discernible now in the tangerine zestiness on the finish. Drink 2025–2050"
