“Medium to light yellow colour and a very complex biscuity bouquet, reflecting the skillful use of barrels and well-judged aldehydes. Full bodied, rich and deep with power and drive but also elegance and length and appetizing qualities. A magic wine." - 96 Points, Huon Hooke
Depending on terminology or who you believe, Gosset is either the oldest or the second oldest house in all of Champagne with its origins going back to 1584. A rich, extremely well-made wine. Chardonnay just edges Pinot Noir in the blend, with a little Pinot Meunier adding a seductive brioche aroma. A delicious biscuity palate with an elegant and assertive finish. The Gosset style is powerful, very creamy, and dry but not acidic, full, biscuity and yeasty. This is very serious, distinguished Champagne.
We've always been fans of Languedoc reds, and having tried this for the first time we are much taken with this example of southern whites. Beautiful balance of acidity and freshness. This will be on our repeat shopping list like Villa Blanche.
Although this is a new vintage for us, it never fails to delight. Full of lovely crisp Grenache flavour. We bought it for summer and starting drinking it in mid-winter!!
Clear cab sav and merlot on the nose, clean not complex. Soft tannins and good fruit moderately sustained.. Clean finish. Good oak handling. Certainly not a platinum whatever that is but good silver and excellent value for the money
A great bridge between commercial and premium, plus it's a good conversation starter! 5 stars at the current discounted price.

Great Value
At its price, one of the best reds I have tasted. The experience is consistent with the bottle notes, fruity, balanced with a hint of oak and a long finish.
