Domaine Pattes Loup Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux 2018

95 POINTS: William Kelly, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
95 POINTS: La Revue du Vin de France
94 POINTS: Jasper Morris, MW, Inside Burgundy

100% Chardonnay, Biodynamic
The ‘Mise Tardive’ selections feature longer elevage on lees compared to the regular versions and are considered the finest wines Pico produces.

“Exuberant and floral, it is characterized by a remarkable aromaticity and dense, rich fruit. Lively saline notes give it energy, tension and structure.”
— 94 Points, Jasper Morris, MW, Inside Burgundy

“Still in tank on the lees, it offers up aromas of pear, waxy citrus fruit and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and impressively concentrated palate. In any of its various incarnations, it will be worth seeking out.”
— 95 Points, William Kelly, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

"A profusion of yellow fruits, almonds and dried flowers in Butteaux, a consistent and majestic wine, which slowly unfolds with feline agility and promises a long life. (2023)"
— 95 Points, La Revue du Vin de France

"Paler yellow, not a gram of sulphur has been added, but the wine seems to be naturally reductive anyway, and full of life and energy with a, soft rich finish. The original new wood component shows up a little more from the second tank sampled. Very long finish. This will become a very fine wine, possibly outstanding. (Sep 2020)"
