"A classic blend of 50% Merlot & 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The high proportion of Merlot makes this 'everyday' Bordeaux really sing. It has lovely aromas reminiscent of sun-ripened blackberries, dark plums and black currants. Medium-bodied with ripe tannins and a fruity style where you will find dark fruits such as blackberries, dark plums, black currants and a touch of licorice."

Chateau de Cathalogne is the Despagne family property. It is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, between the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers, up to the Gironde estuary. Thanks to the proximity of the two rivers, the vines do not suffer from the ups and downs of temperature, which makes it an excellent place to grow grapes. The terroir of Chateau de Cathalogne consists of clay and sand and is very well suited for growing Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
