"Aromatic and very enticing bouquet with distinctive aromas of lemon peel and pressed roses, mandarin peel and fresh quince. There’s also a core mineral quality suggesting wet clay and limestone. Dry on the palate driven by acidity and flavours of citrus then orange and mandarin, some lime-flower and rose. The minerality is persistent along with flavours of apple and white spice. Delicious, fresh, natural and new." - Cameron Douglas MS
Dry Riesling, grown on the clay foothills of Damsteep. Fresh aromas of wild honey, lime, ginger, orange blossom, and bees wax. Dense and powerful on the palate, with a satisfying balance of fresh acidity and ripe fruit.
Un-fined and unfiltered. Minimal sulphur at bottling, this wine retains CO2 from fermentation and a fine sediment may form in the bottle. Enjoy!
I have enjoyed these wines very much - in particular I liked the Belle Vignes which was rich and very flavoursome
The Cabra Cega was a particularly easy drinking quaffing wine.
Still have another 2 bottles left to sample
Quality is consistent. Deeper bouquet and flavor than most Cali Zins. The Earth tones come thru beautifully about two years from Vintage. Wonderful
Red to contemplate on its own or with good food.
