Vodka can be made from many different kinds of agricultural produce, anything that has a high enough concentration of starch or natural sugars, including grain, molasses, potatoes, rice, sugar beet or grapes. Vodka isn't about deriving flavour from the raw materials used, rather it's all about the purity of the water used, the distillation process (many Vodkas are distilled multiple times) and the filtering and refining process that aims to end up with the cleanest, purest and smoothest spirit possible.
