BarSol Perfecto Amor is a Peruvian aperitif crafted in the Ica Valley, famous for pisco and produced in one of the oldest distilleries of Peru, Bodega San Isidro, dating back to the 1800s. Made in small batches, BarSol Perfecto Amor is a blend of fortified grape juice from the Quebranta, Italia, and Torontel varietals. Each grape is juiced separately and fortified by pisco distilled of that same grape before blending the varietals together to become BarSol Perfecto Amor.
Tawny golden in color, it fills the nose with caramel, sweet almonds & macadamia nuts, with tastes of raisins, dry apricots and quince paste. These intensify with a salty-sweet element combined with roasted hazelnuts and honey. It has a smooth finish with a seamless balance.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
