"From one of the region’s highest vineyards, this flavour-packed wine was estate-grown 300m above sea level in the upper Awatere Valley. Bright, light lemon green, it has fresh, penetrating melon flavours. It’s crisp, lively, dry and lingering." - Michael Cooper
Cuvar's Ballochdale Vineyard in Marlborough is soul food for everyone who visits. its isolation, elevation and breath taking views simply fill you up.
This beautifully structured Sauvignon captures its special character with every sip. Flavours reminiscent of limes and nettle flowers with hints of green melon all wrapped around a delicious acidity and natural fruit ripeness.
Close your eyes and think of warm sunshine and snowy mountain peaks. This wine takes you there.
This is very good value for money. A Piedmont red under $30! It has good dark fruit, some nice tannins and acid to balance although it would benefit from some more age to smooth it a bit but I liked its feistiness now.
I was happily surprised by the quality of the labels in the "mystery" case of rose wines - great value for the money I must say. Excellent drinking experience from the unfamiliar labels and happy to enjoy again the familiar ones.
