Château de Roquefort Corail Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022
92 POINTS: Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"A mix of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Clairette and Vermentino, all sourced from vines planted on clay-limestone and stony soils, the 2022 Cotes de Provence Rose Corail displays a lively, very fresh bouquet with aromas of peach, red berries, lemon and spring floral. Tense and perfectly balanced with racy acids and a moderately weighted structure, it’s fresh, juicy and supple, with gorgeous notes of grapefruit and red berries on the finish. I have a weakness for this small estate in Roquefort La Bédule." - Wine Advocate
This vintage’s Corail is a judicious blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Clairette, Vermentino. Clear pink bouquet, a finely spiced citrus nose, slightly lemony, floral. The palate is taut, white fruits, citrus, hint of fennel … a Rosé for every occasion and any meal!
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
