Organic & a classic Rhone blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault.

"This is a rock solid effort that oozes southern Rhône flair. Lovely, concentrated  aromas of sweet red and black fruits, wild scrubby Thyme & other Provencal herbs, this full-bodied, nicely texture Plan de Dieu is well balanced, fresh, and has good length on the finish. This will drink well over the next 5 years +."

The Plan de Dieu (literally “Plain of God”) lies at the he foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail & is a historic and prestigious subzone within the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation in France’s southern Rhône Valley. Other than making very good wine the area has very interesting history. The "Plain of God”—took on ironic meaning during the Second World War, in the form of German occupation and Allied bombing. The temporary airstrip was developed & used by the Allies, especially Free French forces, in the latter stages of the war (post-1944) as they pushed northward after the liberation of southern France (Operation Dragoon).

Domaine des Pasquiers has belonged to the Lambert family since 1935.  The domaine consists of 87 hectares, over several appellations : IGP Vaucluse, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône villages Plan de Dieu, Côtes du Rhône villages Sablet and Gigondas. The Lambert family began converting the entire vineyard to organic agriculture in 2010.
