95 POINTS; OUTSTANDING: Cameron Douglas, MS 94 POINTS: Bob Campbell MW
“Energy and youth in the bouquet, a complex and detailed aroma package of fresh cherry and plum, boysenberry and red currants. The oak layers in spice and complexity and the stony mineral layers add depth and breadth. Delicious, fresh, taut, youthful and textured palate with core fruit flavour to reflect the bouquet. Ripe tannins in abundance with acidity and wood tannins for mouthfeel and structure" — Cameron Douglas, MS
“Simple, fresh and moderately concentrated wine with plum, dark cherry, spice/anise and toasted oak flavours give strong varietal definition. A very good example of Marlborough Pinot Noir” — Bob Campbell MW
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
