"This dry Riesling Kabinett deftly squares the circle of light body (just 10.5% alcohol) and ripe aromas - think fresh pineapple and star fruit. Key to that is the lively, yet silky acidity that’s underlined by a delicate touch of fine tannin at the long, citrusy finish. Drink now." - Stuart Pigott, James Suckling.com
"Brown lime, honey, pear, a subtle floral and mint top note. It’s fresh, but has a light honey richness, something a little like oatmeal or buckwheat pulling it a little more savoury, fine dusty texture, and a long succulent honey citrus finish. It’s a delightful wine, and a very lovely thing to drink." - 93 Points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
This is very good value for money. A Piedmont red under $30! It has good dark fruit, some nice tannins and acid to balance although it would benefit from some more age to smooth it a bit but I liked its feistiness now.
I was happily surprised by the quality of the labels in the "mystery" case of rose wines - great value for the money I must say. Excellent drinking experience from the unfamiliar labels and happy to enjoy again the familiar ones.
