“The label catches your eye – and the mix of spring-like florals and spice in this Veneto Grigio don’t hold back either. Lifted aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle, ginger, white peach, papaya and pear. Pear is the motif, a recurring, arresting feature of this wine. It helps drive flavour, brings a real sense of concentration on the palate and is joined by some delightful – and exotic – gingery, cardamon-like spicy notes. There’s a touch of savouriness too, preserved lemon, for added breadth of flavour. Medium bodied, nicely textural, long in length and with good staying power, this is a wine with total versatility. It can be enjoyed solo or at the table.”
“Pristine and elegant, the wine shows Gala apple, green rockmelon, lemon peel and oatmeal nuances on the nose. The palate displays lovely focus and flow, well supported by crunchy acidity, finishing lingering and mouth-watering. At its best: now to 2027.”

Produced by the famed Sartori winery near Venice, Fontavera are fresh and vibrant wines with an emphasis on organic viticulture. The wines are grown on higher, cooler sites but reflect a desire by winemaker Andrea Sartori to be more thoughtful about the environment and the looming effect of climate change upon vineyards. Winemaker Andrea Sartori, the great-grandson of the founder of the still family owned Sartori di Verona Winery in 1898; now considered one the most important wineries of the North-East Italy.
