Refined, streamlined fruit notes and an underlying wild complexity. Notes of yellow apples, crisp pears, quince jelly, cool spice, and cinnamon are juxtaposed with hints of yeast autolysis, flint, and jasmine. The entry into the palate is soft but fresh and meets the aromatics with style. The finish is vibrant leaving both a sense of sweetness in the front palate and perk on the finish. Drink now but will age beyond its expectations.
"This smells just like apple-flavoured gummy sweets. Cheerful PG, ripe green-apple fruit with a touch of bitter almond at the back palate to give it some dimension." - Jancis Robinson (previous vintage review)
"Fruit-focused, off-dry Pinot Gris with pear, ripe apple, quince and root ginger flavours. A creamy-textured wine with an appealingly lengthy finish. Good value at this price." - Bob Campbell MW (previous vintage review)
