Garnacha Peluda 60%, Garnacha 30% and Cariñena 10%
Organic
“Yet for all the massive flavours, the massive structure, the stallion-muscled haunch of this powerful, purposeful, untamed wine, there is also a grace, a cool line of mineral freshness.” Jancis Robinson
"The first “Vi de Finca Qualificada” from DO Terra Alta. This wine is made from Garnacha Peluda 60%, Garnacha Fina 30% and Cariñena 10%,from our terroirs “còdols”, “tapàs” and “tapàs blanc” respectively. We stand out the “còdols” soil (an old river-bed), where our Garnatxa peluda has been planted for more than 40 years achieving wines with great and complex aromas. Aging in 500 litre French oak barrels for 12 months will bestow harmony to the wine. Deep red coloured, the wine displays balsamic and mint aromas. After a light glass swirl, rich aromas of red ripe fruit, spice, cocoa and tobacco leaf and mineral appear. Upon palate shows powerful, silky, with smooth and well integrated tannins. The wine stands out for its elegance and complexity, thanks to a balanced acidity."
- Winemakers notes
“Christmas-cake spices, dark dried fruit, inky and concentrated. Black olive and bay leaf, brine and molasses. Yet for all the massive flavours, the massive structure, the stallion-muscled haunch of this powerful, purposeful, untamed wine, there is also a grace, a cool line of mineral freshness.”
