Innovation for one thing. Back in 1984 in a time when the focus was all about Australia and other New World countries, who were making wine choices easy, JP Chenet, set about launching the French counter-offensive, and set up to create French wines that were labelled by grape variety, not region, to make consumer choice simpler. It was a game changing tactic.

JP Chenet then decided that the south and south west of France were the best areas for sourcing and making their wines, and set up good business relationships with a number of cooperative growers in the Languedoc region of the south of France, and also Cotes de Gascogne in the South West. The results are a range of wines that are incredibly well made, juicy and delicious.

The JP Chenet Cabernet-Syrah 2022 with it's iconic 'Josephine' bottle is the flagship wine of the brand. Elegant and forwardly fruity with ripe berry notes, this blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Syrah has a delightful appetising spice that harmonises with bright raspberry and blackberry characters.
