"This terrific bargain should be eagerly sought out by Grenache lovers."
- Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate
This old vine red comes from the Côtes Catalanes in France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region, one of our favourite regions in the Southern of France and the home to the Lafage range of wines which we know you all love. Jeff Carrel makes wine in a similar vein, capturing all the fruit and drinkability of the region while retaining all the character in the wines. Super delicious!
"Entirely tank-aged Grenache, the 2020 IGP Côtes Catalanes Vieille Mule originates from a mix of schist and argillo-calcaire sites in the Aigly Valley. Quite floral and spicy on the nose, it suggests hibiscus, rose and black tea, plus hints of allspice, all backed by ripe cherries. It's medium to full-bodied in the mouth, with supple, gentle tannins and ample length on the finish. This terrific bargain should be eagerly sought out by Grenache lovers."
