"This wine is a co-ferment of 4 white varieties (see below) presenting a bouquet of lifted florals and fruits spices, some exotic and some familiar. There’s a natural ferment twist with a mineral flinty quality and lees complexity. Lovely on the palate with a mix of the familiar in terms of fruits then adventure with the lees and subtle ginger spice and citrus peel qualities. The flint and mineral play a supporting role. Balanced and well made." - Cam Douglas MS
A charming dry white wine that marries the very best attributes of the aromatic varieties that thrive beautifully together on the Raupo vineyard. Notes of ripe autumnal fruits, citrus flowers and exotic fruit prevail on the nose. The palate shows many dimensions, with great concentration of fruit and structure, balanced with a fine delicacy and elegance, and finishing with a focused acidity.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
