A fresh, broad bouquet, rich with hints of flowers, green apple and delicate notes of sage. In the mouth it is fresh, with an almond finish. A great aperitif or light pasta dishes, risotto, and fish in general. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Roero is characterized by the “rocche”, steep reliefs that cut the territory dividing the continental soils, based on river gravels and clays, from those of marine origin, where vines find their ideal conditions. The indigenous Arneis variety produces a dry, delicate white wine with excellent drinkability. Manual harvest in mid-September, when ripening has reached the optimum point. Vinification in stainless steel for 4-5 months at low temperature. After cold stabilization, the wine is bottled in late spring.
We've been fans of their Syrah and Chardonnay for some time and this is another go-to product we'll add to the list.
Light in colour, but plenty of depth and flavour and pleasingly dry.
Highly recommended.
I haven’t tried every bottle in this selection yet, however, so far they are all very tasty. I’m a Chardonnay lover, always on the look out for a dryish not sweet wine and these are just right for me. An excellent mixed case and we’ll priced.
This was a very nice surprise in Wine Direct’s very welcome Plenty Under $20 category. Beautifully fruity, rich and smooth. Often the Plenty Under $20 range is a little light for the depth I like but I will definitely be reordering this one.
A great summer wine… elegant and a fine balance of lighter fruit and delicate acidity with a nice dry finish. Very drinkable with or without food. A nice change from our usual unoaked French Chardonnay
