Organic, classic Rhone blend of 50% Grenache & 50% Syrah

“Framboise, wild strawberries, pepper, and sappy flower and spice notes all shine in the 2023 Gigondas, a remarkable pure, graceful, seamless Gigondas that does everything right. A blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, it will cruise over the coming decade or more. The blend is equal parts Grenache and Syrah, destemmed and brought up all in concrete. I’d be happy with bottles in the cellar.”

The Pesquier Gigondas is the standard-bearer of the domaine. Three-quarters of their vineyard holdings are in some of the most prized sub-regions of the appellation, including nearly 8 acres in the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains. Considered the best area for Gigondas grapes, the soils are a mix of stone and red clay.

Domaine des Pasquiers has belonged to the Lambert family since 1935.  The domaine consists of 87 hectares, over several appellations : IGP Vaucluse, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône villages Plan de Dieu, Côtes du Rhône villages Sablet and Gigondas.The Lambert family began converting the entire vineyard to organic agriculture in 2010.
