Domaine Boutinot 'Le Fleur Solitaire' Côtes du Rhône 2023
91 POINTS: James Suckling
Made from Grenache Blanc, Viognier along with co-fermented pairs of Roussanne/Marsanne and Bourboulenc/Clairette. Sealed under screwcap.
"A fruity, juicy and mellow white blend of grenache, roussanne, marsanne, clairette and bourboulenc. The nose proposes notes of sliced apples, guava, wild herbs and some mild spices. Medium body with fresh acidity and a succulent character throughout. Delicious almond bitterness here, with hints of fennel towards the finish. Screw cap."

Tucked away in the hills of the Cairanne village, Domaine Boutinot was established in 2010. Spread across 8 hectares, the vineyard features vines aging roughly 40 to 60 years, which rest on clay-limestone soils with rolled pebbles. The vineyard features 4 flagship grape varieties known to the region: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan Noir, which achieved Cru status within Cairanne Appellation. Their philosophy centers on working naturally, they manually harvest their grapes and use natural yeast during fermentation.
