Dehours et Fils “Maisoncelle” Blanc de Noir Extra Brut
95 POINTS: Bettane & Desseauve
93 POINTS: Jeb Dunnuck
Mostly Pinot Noir with a touch of Pinot Meunier. Very rare.
“Maisoncelle comes from one of our rare plots of old (and so small-yield) pinot noir vines. It is situated halfway up the slope, above the Village of Port à Binson (within the Mareuil le Port district) and has a North-East orientation. The plot is over 300m long, with clay/silt soil, poor in limestone and rich in iron. Most of the vines are pinot noir with just a little meunier stock. For this wine, to ensure the best results, we only use grapes from the vines at the bottom of the plot which we replanted in spring 2012.”
