The grapes are hand-picked to ensure the highest quality and yields that are not too high. Made from 60% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 15% Carignan, this bottle of red offers an aromatic bouquet of red fruits supported by the ageing in barrels. Round, concentrated with a nice structure followed by a persistent finish.

Chateau La Boutignane is situated in one the best spots in Corbieres, one of the warmest and driest regions of France with an oceanic influence from the Mediterranean. Corbières is such a massive chunk of land and within its borders the terrain is so wild and diverse. Rocky garrigue harbours bush-trained and trellised vines as well as pine, cherry, almond and olive trees, with fir and oak in the higher reaches. Some of the hillside vineyards seem incredibly remote, yet the major cities of Carcassonne and Narbonne to the north and Perpignan to the south are never far away, with the beach resorts of the Mediterranean adjacent to the east.
