The Sons of Eden boys say the excitement was hard to contain when we first tasted the juice post-pressing in the winery. Delicate yet intensely aromatic, with flavours typical of great Eden Valley Rieslings, the juice was perfectly balanced by natural acidity and sugar levels in the right slot. The Freya parcels were hand-harvested over 10 days from our Riesling blocks in two cool-climate Eden Valley vineyards; Cranes Range and Roeslers. In the bottle the wine has some classic lime and lemon tanginess has a floral lift. It is dry, only about 2.5g/L residual sugar, with some pristine detail. The acid is fresh and crisp and extends the length. These are all as you should expect for a Eden Valley Riesling
