Grand Veneur Côtes du Rhône Rèserve 2022

"We have been importing this wine since the 2003 vintage and it never fails to impress. The 2022 is yet another winner from the passionate and hardworking Jaume family. Supple, gluggable and full of southern French warmth and character. This Grenache-predominant red has silky-smooth tannins and lashings of plummy, ripe fruit flavours and a finish that shows touches of Kirsch, liquorice and classic Rhone pepperiness."

"A solid Côtes-du-Rhône, fruit-driven yet well-structured and serious. It has notes of red berries, wild herbs, wafers and some baking spices. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. A silky core of berries blends with a solid frame of tannins on the palate. Creamy, chocolatey finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold."
— James Suckling
"This estate, under the leadership of Sebastien Jaume, continues to be one of the reference point producers for relatively modern styled Châteauneuf-du-Papes. In addition to their top tier efforts, the portfolio is loaded with smoking values at just about every price point."
