Manduria, nestled between Taranto and Brindisi in the heart of southern Puglia, is widely regarded as the spiritual home of Primitivo. Here, ancient vineyards thrive in iron-rich red soils over limestone, basking in long, hot Mediterranean summers while cooling breezes from the Ionian Sea and naturally low rainfall produce beautifully concentrated grapes. The result is Primitivo of remarkable richness, depth and balance—showcasing the variety at its very finest.
"Deep ruby with flashes of purple, this is everything we love about Primitivo di Manduria. Aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum leap from the glass, layered with notes of sweet baking spice, dark chocolate, vanilla and a hint of liquorice. The palate is rich, plush and wonderfully generous, with velvety tannins, excellent fruit concentration and just enough freshness to keep everything beautifully balanced.
