A classic Southern Rhône blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Certified Oraganic.

"Deep ruby red with attractive violet hues. The nose opens with ripe blackberries, dark cherries and wild red fruits, accompanied by hints of violet, liquorice and fragrant Provençal herbs. The palate is generous and beautifully textured, with concentrated fruit, warming spice and a touch of black pepper. Supple, well-integrated tannins provide structure, while a lingering savoury finish keeps everything nicely balanced. A deliciously approachable Southern Rhône red."

If you enjoy the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, here's an appellation worth getting to know. Just across the Rhône River from its more famous neighbour lies Lirac, an appellation producing some seriously good Southern Rhône reds, often at considerably more attractive prices.

Domaine Lafond is a family-owned estate with roots in the Southern Rhône dating back to 1780. The Roc-Epine vineyards benefit from the region's warm Mediterranean climate and distinctive stony soils, with rounded river pebbles helping retain warmth and sandy soils contributing to the character of the wines. The estate has also embraced organic viticulture.

The 2023 Roc-Epine is a classic Southern Rhône blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Expect generous dark fruit, lovely savoury complexity and a healthy dose of Provençal spice. It's everything we love about this part of France: generous, characterful and wonderfully satisfying drinking.
