For several centuries, Château La Croix has possessed a stone cross-shaped monument visible in the very center of the village of Belvès. The Château has been a family property for three generations. The estate lies within the "Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux" appellation, in the commune of Belvès-de-Castillon, as well as in the commune of Les Salles-de-Castillon. Part of the château walls dates back 1400 years. The locality where the buildings stand is called "La Desmerie"; at the time, the name Desmerie referred to the building where "la Dune" (a tax levied on the harvests and paid to the church) was collected.

“Ripe tannins and layers of spice lie within this rich wine's black-currant fruits. The wine is juicy and perfumed, dominated by Merlot, and with an open texture. Drink from 2025. Organic.”
—  Roger Voss

“A plummy nose with a touch of spices and cherries. This is fluid and juicy, showing medium body and gritty tannins. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.”
— James Suckling

“A deep purple robe with youthful violet highlights. A clean and inviting nose of black fruit and sloe blossom. On the palate, an equally fragrant style, with well-integrated tannins that provide just the right structure. It can be cellared for another one or two years.”
