"The 2018 du Cartillon offers dusty black fruit on the nose, laced with truffle and smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins, but there is plenty of freshness and intensity, and the finish displays great precision. This is a very promising Haut-Médoc."
- Antonio Galloni, Vinous
"Lots of blackberry and plum fruits as well as toast and spice notes emerge from the 2018 Château du Cartillon, a nicely textured, rich, concentrated Haut-Médoc to drink over the coming 8-10 years."
- Jeb Dunnuck
"This has aromas of dark plums, chocolate cherries, dried roses and sweet spices. It’s medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Creamy, fleshy palate. Juicy and flavorful. Drink from 2022."
- James Suckling
"This 144-acre estate is producing some fine wines. Balanced, juicy and jammy, this wine is full of black-plum and berry flavors that are sustained by the ripe tannins and generous texture. Drink the wine from 2025"
- Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
