Carte Postale Costieres de Nimes Rose 2024
93 POINTS: Wine Direct Tasting Team
"Amazing value! A beautifully pale Southern French rosé with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, white peach and fresh citrus peel. The palate is bright and mouth-watering — crisp red berry fruit, a touch of melon, and a finely textured minerality that keeps everything refreshingly dry and elegant. Zesty, clean and ultra-drinkable, it’s the perfect style for the Kiwi summer."
This Grenache-Syrah rosé from AOP Costières de Nîmes, nestled between Languedoc and Provence on the right bank of the Rhône Valley, embodies the traditional charm of southern France. Grown on siliceous pebble soils between 20 and 130 meters in altitude, it shows a pale, delicate hue with powdered pink reflections. The nose is fine, fresh, and rich, while the palate reveals bright strawberry and peony notes. Elegant and refreshing, it’s perfect as an aperitif or alongside seafood, grilled fish, and mixed salads.
