“The 2022 Riesling Kamptal Terrassen is harvested mostly from paragneiss in the Steinberg vineyard behind Steinmassl and in Steinmassl itself, as well as from parcels of Käferberg and the young vines of the Heiligenstein. The nose is alive with fruit, almost red-berry-like in its tart juiciness. The palate comes in with immense and sweeping freshness, brio and a lovely citric, zesty astringency that makes this even racier. This is svelte, precise, fresh and wonderfully driven— and bone-dry of course. Zesty mouthfeel and flavor are everything here— no wonder, with this kind of provenance. (Bone-dry)”
