Beautifully balancing power and elegance, it offers enticing black cherry fruit, subtle wild thyme and a delicate touch of cedar, all framed by fine-grained tannins.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCrafted to capture the purity and personality of its site, this is a Pinot Noir of depth and concentration, balanced by vibrant freshness, finesse and a long, quietly elegant finish.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGrown exclusively at Waikerikeri Station, a 47-hectare single vineyard estate at the heart of Central Otago. Free-draining quartz gravel soils with ap-proximately 4% organic matter naturally restrict vine vigour, yielding small, intensely flavoured berries. The Harrop sub-regional series brings to life the idea of sense of place in wine. Made from the very best parcels of exceptional single vineyards, these wines express an abundance of personality and character, unique to these sites. Working in his trademark sympathetic, low-intervention manner, Sam embraces further experimentation to craft wines that reflect a true sense of place – the culmination of soil qualities, climate and the interpretation of the grower and winemaker.
