“El plano alto” is a high-altitude vineyard, organically farmed, planted with 50 to 85-year old, low-yielding vines. Libre y Salvaje (Free and Wild) is a new personal project of José Ignacio Marín, an important winemaker from Cariñena, Spain. This unique project focuses on recovering high altitude vineyards that are planted with old vines of indigenous grape varieties and restoring an old winery. The winery itself sits on top of ancient caves, ideal for aging wine in an optimal natural environment.

"A racy carinena, full of vibrant plums, sweet cherries, citrus and spiced berries. Quite fruit-expressive, with a wild edge to the juicy and medium-to full-bodied palate. Fresh and resolved tannins round off the racy, berry-oriented finish. Excellent length. Vegan."
