“Sona's white-golden colored 2019 Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling Auslese trocken offers a deep, pure, intense and complex bouquet of perfectly ripe and concentrated fruits, crushed stones and iodine. Saline and pure on the palate, with a ripe, dense and still juicy texture, this is a full-bodied, intense, structured and pretty complex Riesling with an elegant and finely tannic finish. The 2019 is starting to open up now yet still shows fine but firm tannins. It is possibly a bit dryish on the finish. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.”

Excellent concentration and wonderful balance of stone fruit with very fine tannins and omnipresent, chalky minerality that provides focus to the enormously long, star-bright finish.
