From the Schlossböckelheimer KUPFERGRUBE Grosse Lage site, an old copper mine that was planted at the beginning of the 20th Century, with volcanic melaphyr soils.

“The Schlossböckelheim Riesling Trocken 2021 Vom Vulkan combines elegant, ripe and quite intense fruit with refreshing lemon and deep stony notes that add further complexity. Tight and tensioned on the palate, this is a pure, fresh, lemony and finely juicy but, most of all stony, saline and finely structured Riesling from the volcanic terroirs around the domaine (or, to speak frankly, 100% Kupfergrube yet from upper plots and medium-old vines). 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.”
